Successful conversion of a DAG spraying robot

AT THE BEGINNING OF 2018 WE RECEIVED A CALL FOR HELP FROM A NEW CUSTOMER.

The customer had decided in 2014 for a DAG spraying robot with external mixing nozzles and without circulation and had already arrived 3 years after acceptance at the point of having to replace the system.

The reasons for the decision are understandable.

Since the DAG robot system does not have a sufficient rinsing function, the cross-sections at the nozzle outlet have only 0.6 mm, the medium supply was incorrectly designed and the filters were permanently clogged, the entire line had to be shut down for approx. 6 hours per week due to the spraying system - only to clean it. For the very complex repair and troubleshooting, the customer could not turn to the manufacturer, because he could not offer any service. Already in this phase we have gladly and free of charge provided support with our knowledge. Another important point: the machine environment is very dirty due to inaccurate spraying.

Another important point for the decision was the extremely long spraying time of 45 - 65 seconds per part. This long spraying time is due to the less powerful atomisation of the external mixing nozzles. As a result, the two dies had to be sprayed several times in succession at a distance of 600 mm.
